Direct answers covering model fit, charcoal, setup, packing and safe outdoor use.

01ChoosingWhich Flame Box model should I choose?

Choose Ranger for 2–3 people and the smallest packed footprint, Nomad for 3–4 people and the most balanced everyday size, or Ranger Plus for 4–5 people and the largest cooking surface in the lineup.

02FuelIs Flame Box a real charcoal grill?

Yes. Every Flame Box model is designed for real charcoal cooking outdoors, giving you charcoal heat and BBQ flavour without carrying a full-size grill.

03SetupDo I need tools to set up a Flame Box?

No. Ranger, Nomad and Ranger Plus use a tool-free folding setup. Open the grill on a stable, heat-safe outdoor surface and follow the model instructions before adding charcoal.

04PackingDo Flame Box grills fold flat for storage?

Yes. Fold-flat portability is the core design idea across the lineup. Ranger has the most compact suitcase-style carry, Nomad uses a compact fold-flat kit, and Ranger Plus folds into a larger carry piece.

05SafetyCan I use a Flame Box indoors or inside a tent?

No. Flame Box charcoal grills are for outdoor use only. Never use charcoal in a house, garage, vehicle, enclosed shelter or tent because burning charcoal produces dangerous carbon monoxide.

06Local rulesCan I use Flame Box during a fire ban?

Only when local rules specifically allow charcoal grills. Fire restrictions differ by municipality, park and campground, so check the current rules before lighting charcoal and do not use the grill when charcoal cooking is prohibited.

01

Using it safely

Where to cook, what to check and when to pack it away.

01Where can I safely use a Flame Box?

Use it outdoors on a stable, level and heat-safe surface with suitable clearance from combustible materials. Follow the product instructions plus current campground, park and municipal fire rules.

02Can I use Flame Box on a campsite or at a park?

Only where charcoal grills are permitted. Rules can change with fire risk, so confirm the site’s current charcoal policy before you travel or light the grill.

03How much charcoal should I use?

The current website does not publish one universal charcoal quantity for all three models. Follow the instructions for your model, avoid overfilling and use only the amount needed for the planned cook.

04When can I fold and pack the grill?

Only after the charcoal, ash and every grill component are completely cool. Never fold, move, clean or store a hot Flame Box.

05Can I leave a lit Flame Box unattended?

No. Keep the grill supervised whenever charcoal is lit or still hot, keep children and pets at a safe distance, and follow the site’s rules for fully extinguishing charcoal before leaving.

02

Cleaning & care

Clear answers that avoid unsafe shortcuts and unsupported claims.

01How should I dispose of charcoal ash?

Let the charcoal and ash cool completely, then use the designated disposal method required by the campground or municipality. Never place warm ash in a vehicle, bag or regular bin.

02Can I clean Flame Box while it is still warm?

No. Wait until the grill and ash are completely cool. Remove residue carefully and follow the cleaning guidance supplied with your model.

03Does every model include a cleaning brush?

No. The current Ranger kit specifically lists a compact cleaning brush. Nomad lists a carry bag, grill-plate tong and convenience knife, while Ranger Plus lists its grates, charcoal tray and leg connectors.

04Is every Flame Box made from 304 stainless steel?

The current Flame Box website specifically identifies Ranger Plus with 304 stainless steel. It does not make the same published material claim for every model, so do not assume identical construction across the lineup.

05How should I store Flame Box after a cookout?

Let every component cool completely, remove the ash, clean and dry the grill, then fold it into its carry form and keep it in a dry storage area.

03

Orders & support

01Can I order Flame Box online in Canada now?

The Canadian website currently says online ordering opens soon. Product prices are displayed in CAD, but check the store for a live purchase option before relying on availability.

02How much does shipping cost and how long will delivery take?

Flame Box has not published Canadian destinations, delivery estimates or shipping costs yet. The shipping page says these details will be available before online ordering opens.

04What should I do if an order arrives damaged or incomplete?

05Does Flame Box include a warranty?

The website says warranty details will be published before checkout opens, but it does not currently state a coverage period or complete terms. Verify the published warranty before purchase.
